Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Tax & Financial Accountant at Volvo Group Australia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient execution of accounting and reporting activities to support our business operations. Reporting directly to the Tax & Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for preparation and submission of accurate financial reports, while actively contributing to process improvements and best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within Tax and Treasury and work within a great team.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver accurate accounting and financial reporting in compliance with local GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Contribute to the end-of-month financial reporting process, including preparation and review of financial reports for AB Volvo Sweden.
  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of FBT returns, income tax calculations, BAS statements, and Transfer Pricing reports.
  • Support treasury functions, including cash flow projections, working capital management, and bank facility maintenance.
  • Conduct detailed general ledger analysis and monthly reconciliations, proactively resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to review financials and identify improvements in reporting processes.
  • Assist with annual internal and external audits, as well as the stock take process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance month-end reporting efficiency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business with a major in accounting or equivalent.
  • Membership of CPA/ICAA or working towards accreditation.
  • Previous accounting experience in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge and experience working with FBT and Corporate Income Tax
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage workflow with minimal supervision
