Responsibilities:

ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Tax Associate with experience with US corporate taxes to be part of the US corporate tax team, which manages and oversees tax compliance and planning activities of the group’s US entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting and local tax laws and regulations

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in facilitating and managing the preparation of US and Canada corporate income tax returns along with quarterly estimates and extension calculations
  • Prepare and review income tax provisions under both IFRS and US GAAP for US entities and provide reporting packages
  • Assist in managing the preparation and review of non-income tax returns (commercial rent, property, etc.)
  • Maintain the tax calendar to ensure all tax reporting and compliance requirements are completed accurately and in advance of established due dates
  • Implement periodic state tax nexus studies in order to determine new state-filing jurisdictions
  • Support tax examinations by providing timely documentation and submission of packages
  • Assist in the evaluation of proposed and enacted laws as well as research and analyze the impact of new tax legislation on the business
  • Work extensively with areas of Finance and Business (Product, Legal, Technology, Service Excellence) to support tax-related projects
