JOB DESCRIPTION

The Tax Consultant position generally requires two of experience in the relevant tax field for which they are being considered (e.g. federal and state corporate income taxes, taxation involving the federal tax provision, federal and state compliance work including preparation of federal and tax returns as well as a variety of compliance projects related to insurance and noninsurance companies).

EDUCATION

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serving as the key liaison between tax and other business units within the organization to obtain key tax information.
  • Work with service provider to ensure all requests and deliverables are provided timely.
  • Managing tax correspondence including notices, refund checks and reclaim requests.
  • Generating reports, posting, and validating entries in financial ledger system
  • Processing various tax payments
