Job Description

We are recruiting a Tax Counsel for our finance team, who will be responsible for managing all tax matters of the Group in several jurisdictions (mainly Luxembourg, France, Hungary, US). This person will be reporting to our CFO.

  • Involved in providing proactive tax advice with respect to the group’s operations and advice on tax consequences of various transactions including assistance in corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, launch and structuring of new business units.
  • Involved in VAT consulting, transfer pricing and tax compliance assignments (preparation of corporate tax returns, dividend WHT returns and review of tax provisions).
  • Designing and implementing corporate and intra-company arrangements
  • Working globally and cross-functionally with the legal, finance and other department teams, as well as, liaising with local tax authorities and external counsels.
  • Submitting proposals with respect to the improvement of methods and the functioning of the Company and the Group
  • Developing and improving Tax policies and procedures
  • Oversight of tax structure and tax decisions of business unit that have a group wide impact (functional reporting line)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 10+ years or more of relevant professional experience in International Tax and Luxembourg Corporate Taxation
  • Experience in a law firm, Big Four and/or in-house practice would be an asset
  • Excellent oral and written command of English and French
  • Knowledge on different tax areas, among others Luxembourg Corporate Taxation, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT and Business Tax Compliance
  • Knowledge of US Corporate and Individual Taxation is an asset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
