POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a mid-level associate to join our Tax team in our Luxembourg office. We welcome candidates with practical experience in taxation law in Luxembourg with strong academic credentials.
You should possess a good breadth of legal and commercial knowledge, excellent technical skills, and the logical rigor to grasp the tax intricacies of cross-border structuring, advisory and transactional matters.
Working in a client-facing practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills will also be significant assets – enabling you to form strong professional relationships, and to explain sophisticated legal concepts in clear, precise language that can be easily understood by non-lawyers.
Given the rapid pace of our practice, you will need to be highly organized—comfortable meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple workstreams.
A team player with a global mindset, you should be excited by the opportunity to work alongside lawyers across the firm’s international offices and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Membership of an EEA Bar (required)
  • 3-6 years of experience in a top-tier international law firm
  • Strong background in Luxembourg tax law, including experience in advising on fund structuring, debt finance, capital markets, and M&A transactions
  • Fluent in English and French; German and/or Luxembourgish considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure while juggling multiple projects
  • Exceptional drafting skills, demonstrating the ability to produce precise, high-quality legal documents
  • Driven by professional growth, with a strong motivation for continuous learning and development
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Proactive, resourceful, and takes initiative with a problem-solving attitude
  • International experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of the key risks and issues involved in cross-border transactions
  • Extensive experience advising on commercial contracts in a tax context, including share and asset purchases, credit agreements, bond documents (e.g., offering memoranda, purchase agreements, indentures, trust deeds), corporate approvals, offering circulars, etc.
