QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates interested in this role should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant or tax advisor with experience working in a personal tax focussed environment with exposure to a varied client base.
  • Academically strong results in career to date coupled with a keen and insightful understanding of the issues facing private clients.
  • An ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
  • A commitment to clients, colleagues and KPMG.
  • High level of analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.

In particular, the role will suit either a high performing Manager keen to work with an exciting client base and keen to progress, or a recently qualified individual looking to gain exposure to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The is primarily a compliance role and it entails managing relationships with our compliance clients, from high net worth individuals and entrepreneurial clients to partnerships, and providing high quality compliance services on a wide range of personal tax matters.

More specifically, some of the responsibilities will include:-

  • Ensuring the delivery of a high quality compliance service to our clients; including the review of complex and varied tax returns, capital gains calculations, land and property accounts and complex residence and remittance issues.
  • Preparing and reviewing partnership tax computations and tax returns
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of varied clients and being able to identify advisory opportunities
  • Managing the compliance process and adhering to and developing best practice procedures to ensure deadlines are met and risk managed appropriately.
  • Managing work in progress and ensuring prompt billing and cash collection.
