ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Walgreens Boots Alliance Group Tax team as an International Tax Manager. We are looking for an individual with a track record of combining strategic international tax support and tax compliance for a varied portfolio of entities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Senior Manager, International Tax on group-wide projects as applicable.
- Support the non-UK entities in advising on internal and external reporting requirements are met, reviewing tax calculations and accounting, assisting with tax authority enquiries and filings and reviewing proposed transactions. Whilst preparation of the returns will be carried out by external advisors, this will involve working with business to manage information requirements and appropriate timetable.
- Review tax disclosures for the Financial Statements of non-UK entities and UK corporate entities.
- Supporting the business to maintain compliance with Economic Substance requirements where applicable, by working with the business and WBA Company Secretarial function as necessary.
- Manage UK and International Withholding Tax Clearances, including the request of new clearances and renewals to ensure continuity of Treaty Clearance.
- Assist with Pillar 2 reporting and compliance, including review of safe harbour tests for international constituent entities.
- Assist with Country by Country Reporting compliance including notification for international entities.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and how the business operates in order to identify issues and opportunities arising from the group’s business activities, ensuring the group remains compliant.
