Description:

We are in the market for a Tax Manager - Public to join our CPA firm located in the Western suburbs of Cleveland. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing federal tax compliance, handling various types of tax returns, and conducting tax research. This role is a significant part of our team, contributing to our clients’ financial efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee federal tax compliance for a range of organizations
  • Prepare and review Sales/Use tax and CAT tax returns
  • Manage the completion of Partnership/S-Corp returns
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Implement tax strategies for small-to-large organizations to optimize efficiency
  • Utilize CPA, Tax - Corporate, Tax - Sales & Use, Tax - Fiduciary - Trust & Estate, Tax - Partnership skills to enhance tax processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all tax-related tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and legislation to ensure compliance
  • Provide tax advice and guidance tailored to each client’s financial situation.
  • Must have a valid CPA license
  • Proven experience in a public tax manager role
  • Extensive knowledge of Tax - Corporate, Tax - Sales & Use, Tax - Fiduciary - Trust & Estate, and Tax - Partnership
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient with tax software and MS Office
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States.
