We are inviting applications for the role of a Tax Manager at our CPA firm based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The role involves leading a growing team and managing both tax-related tasks and write up work. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage a smaller portfolio of clients, providing a more personalized service. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a candidate with the right skills.

• Oversee and manage a team of tax professionals
• Handle tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with current regulations
• Undertake write up work as part of the role
• Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tailored tax advice and services
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate tax solutions
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns
• Liaise with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as required
• Work collaboratively with other teams within the firm to provide comprehensive client service
• Utilize ‘Annual Tax Provision’ skills to deliver effective tax strategies for clients.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or similar environment.
• Proficient knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, and regulatory issues.
• Proven experience in managing a team and handling multiple client engagements.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly in relation to tax accounting.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with tax software and technology.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with clients.
• Experience with Annual Tax Provision is required.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
