Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in our Richmond, Virginia office. The role involves managing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and overseeing accounting functions in a dynamic industry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in public accounting and a deep understanding of tax laws.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax strategies for the organization to ensure compliance with tax laws
- Oversee accounting functions and ensure their accuracy and efficiency
- Keep updated with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations
- Utilize accounting software systems for efficient tax management and record keeping
- Monitor and manage customer credit applications and records
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to tax and accounting
- Handle complex tax issues and provide solutions
- Manage annual income tax provision and auditing processes
- Maintain accurate customer credit records
- Use ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax for various accounting functions
- Oversee entity formation and provide necessary guidance
- Work on tax compliance and entity formation
- Keep updated with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations.
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager for a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services
- Experience in using CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Annual Income Tax Provision
- Proficient in Auditing practices and procedures
- Demonstrated ability in Compliance management
- Experience in Entity Formation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
