Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer to join our team at a CPA firm in STOW, Ohio. As a Tax Preparer, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including the use of accounting software systems and customer service. This role is particularly suitable for candidates who have a good understanding of tax preparation and relevant software skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process tax returns for clients accurately and efficiently using various accounting software systems.
- Utilize ADP - Financial Services to manage and maintain accurate client financial records.
- Use CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax software for tax preparation and sales tax management.
- Employ Drake Tax Software to streamline the tax preparation process.
- Handle various accounting functions including allowances and deductions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving client inquiries promptly.
- Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data in customer accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role within a CPA firm
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services
- Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
- Experience with Drake Tax Software is preferred
- Ability to complete Accounting Functions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of Allowances and Deductible computations
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Proficient in Data Entry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Relevant certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
