Description:

Under the general direction of a Tax Program Supervisor, the Tax Program Technician II (TPT II) serves as a highly motivated, organized technical resource. The TPT II facilitates the processing and/or reconciles any issues related to the processing of payments sent to Franchise Tax Board (FTB). Other functions may include providing guidance to Technical Support, Quality Review and Payment Resolution, and help create and maintain procedures. The TPT II performs trouble-shooting activities, including reviewing, identifying, and resolving system and procedural issues. The TPT II must be able to communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and tactful manner, work independently, exercise good judgment, meet tight deadlines and be flexible.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move/lift block of returns (5-20lbs) (5-9 lbs.)
  • Ability to transport or move trays of vouchers (5-15 lbs.)
  • Ability to transport or move trucks of returns (45-135 lbs.)
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, and be mobile
  • Ability to sit or stand at a work station for long periods of time

This position is not eligible for remote working. In-office presence required.
