Description:

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A TAX SPECIALIST TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN MONTREAL.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with other tax professionals, developing recommendations and implementing tax plans by preparing tax analysis and memoranda
  • Researching complex tax issues to advise clients on tax strategies
  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and tax forms
  • Demonstrating an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts
  • Litigation support including representation to the taxation authorities and preparation of appeals
  • Providing training to the firm in areas of taxation
  • Providing clients and partners with quality, timely and responsive services
  • Keeping informed of changing tax laws and effectively applying tax knowledge to files while remaining thorough and accurate
  • Developing practical and business-oriented approaches to the client’s tax situation and arriving at appropriate conclusions
  • Sharing tax planning ideas with others and participating in and contributing to achieving team goals
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the firm’s business plan

What you need to succeed:

  • Enrolled or having completed the Master of Taxation program or CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Courses
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relations and focus on employee engagement
  • Work flexible hours and work within required budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word and Excel
