About the finance team: The Evos Finance Team strives to add value to our company by being a trusted business partner working in a collaborative way, providing analytics to support decision making, increasing transparency of management information, and standardizing company-wide processes, systems, and data in an effective and efficient way.
The Group finance team is led by the CFO and consists of Group Financial controlling, Finance Shared Services, Business Controlling, and Treasury. The Group Finance Team is located in our Amsterdam based headquarters.
About the role: The Tax Specialist role at Evos encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from reporting and compliance to managing external relationships and staying ahead of tax regulatory changes. The reporting line is to the Group Financial Controller. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Accounting and Reporting: Implement tax ledgers for entities with significant differences between IFRS and Tax book values and set up a process to report periodically on IFRS vs. Tax book values. You assist the finance team in accurately accounting for tax positions, Calculate tax positions on a fiscal unity level and prepare all tax-related disclosures for financial statements and provide support during audit processes. Support forecasting of tax cash flows as part of the budgeting/planning cycle as well as for the purpose of company valuations (M&A).
- Tax Filing: Monitor the corporate income tax compliance of all group entities, including Dutch and foreign (Belgian, German, Maltese, and Spanish) tax filings. Gather and prepare required information for the tax declaration of the Dutch fiscal unity. Collaborate with external advisors to prepare tax declarations. Prepare reconciliations between provisional tax positions and final tax declarations. Review foreign corporate income tax returns. Manage VAT and payroll tax compliance processes.
- Other: Serve as the point of contact for all tax-related matters within the organization, both internal and external to a.o. government authorities. Liaise with external specialists on complex tax topics. Prepare transfer pricing documentation. Maintain next to the knowledge on corporate income tax a good knowledge of other tax areas such as VAT and wage taxes. Stay informed on tax legislation developments that could impact Evos companies. Build and maintain a tax control framework as part of the internal control framework, managing communication with stakeholders such as tax authorities.
About you: To qualify for this role we expect that you match the following requirements:
You hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Tax / Accounting / Finance. At least five years of relevant experience with international tax operations in logistics or comparable industry. Fluent in English and in Dutch.
Further you recognize yourself as responsible, accurate, reliable and timely. You are capable to prioritize tasks, and you are a good team player, a good communicator and collaborator. You are continuously focused on optimizing and improving processes and ways of working.
