Description:
We are looking for a Tax Sr. High Networth Individuals to join our team in Mountain View, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and completion of tax-related work papers and client deliverables. You will also be expected to provide detailed focus on assigned projects, develop your tax knowledge, and support the management of existing client revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare all tax deliverables and related filings for assigned clients or entities, ensuring adherence to work standards that minimize risk exposure
- Identify and alert the team of technical tax issues that may arise in your assigned projects, and participate in discussions to resolve these issues
- Develop your understanding of our comprehensive approach by identifying potential tax issues and proposing possible solutions for review with the Tax Manager, Senior Manager or Principal
- Deliver timely and quality work products such as tax returns and work papers that meet or exceed internal and external expectations
- Research technical tax issues and assist the client service team in forming conclusions related to complex tax issues
- Support the management of existing client revenue through review of work in progress and preparation of billings for special projects or consulting services provided to the client
- Foster initial networks of internal and external parties to form strong working relationships that may grow existing business or lead to the development of new business opportunities
- Proactively identify areas where technical tax knowledge is needed, and work with the Manager, Senior Manager, or Principal to determine personal development opportunities
- Mentor and help Managers to train and supervise tax associates.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an individual and trust tax role.
- Knowledge and understanding of individual tax regulations and laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is desirable (company will pay for CPE and for someone to sit for CPA exam).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of tax code and tax law changes.
