Description:

Position: SAFe Agile Project Manager - Manager
Job Summary:
As a SAFe Agile Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects according to Agile methodologies, specifically within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure that business goals are met while promoting Agile principles and ensuring adherence to SAFe practices. You will play a critical role in driving Agile transformation and scaling Agile across multiple teams in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end project management efforts, including planning, scoping, budgeting, and timeline management for Agile projects.
  • SAFe Implementation: Facilitate the adoption and implementation of the SAFe framework within the organization, helping teams scale their Agile processes across the enterprise.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution: Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan and execute sprint cycles, ensuring alignment with business priorities and goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with development teams, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks or issues in project execution and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Team Empowerment: Mentor, coach, and guide Scrum teams and stakeholders in Agile best practices and SAFe principles, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Monitor project performance using appropriate KPIs (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity, cycle time) and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • Agile Ceremonies: Facilitate key SAFe ceremonies such as PI (Program Increment) planning, Scrum of Scrums, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and iteration reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive Agile maturity within the teams by fostering a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and process enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
  • Change Management: Support the Agile transformation and cultural shift towards Agile methodologies and a mindset of collaboration, flexibility, and value-driven delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certifications:

o SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or other relevant SAFe certifications.

o PMP, CSM, or other Agile-related certifications are a plus.

  • Experience:

o Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing projects using Agile methodologies, with at least 5 years in a SAFe environment.
o Proven experience with end-to-end project delivery, managing multiple teams, and working on large-scale Agile transformations.

o Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally.

  • Skills:

o Strong leadership and communication skills.
o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership.
o Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.
