Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Group Manager - TDBNA, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational/transactional support for TDBNA Corporate Lending Clients. The candidate will have to liaise with TDBNA Credit Administration to close new deals and amendments in Loan IQ. The candidate must have knowledge of syndicated lending, other multi-lender transactions and credit. The position will require documentation review, liaising with deal Agents, customer service and providing timely information to counterparts at TDBNA.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Manage accounts
- Create deals, facilities and process transactions in Loan IQ.
- Develop advanced knowledge of the business and be the subject matter expert
- Maintain/ develop working relationships with external and internal partners
- Provide loan servicing functions for high valued corporate relationships in a timely manner
- Perform secondary checks/ approvals for junior members on the team
- Review end of day transactions for junior members on the team
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to identify key operational/ reporting/ process issues
- Identify and recommend automation opportunities and implement agreed upon process changes.
- Able to prioritize and manage own workload to meet requirements for service and productivity
- Escalate non-standard or high risk transactions or other activities as deemed appropriate
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in a credit and/or operations environment
- Proven communication and relationship skills
- Proven ability to execute on routine requests
- Proven ability to recommend and implement solutions within own area of responsibility
- Will participate in personal performance management and development opportunities
- Will support the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
- Will provide training, coaching and/or guidance to others as required
- Will be supporting US clients and required to work on some Canadian statutory holidays
- The successful candidate will be expected to participate fully as a member of the team, promote team effectiveness and contribute to a positive work environment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal / written communication skills
- Must be self-motivated, strong team player; possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Client facing experience is an asset
- Proven communication and relationship skills
- Commitment to operational and service excellence
- Proven ability to execute
- Strong business acumen and passion for customer service
- Solid understanding of the credit process is an asset
- Loan IQ experience is an asset
- Experience reading legal documents is an asset
