Description:

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

  • Must be NYS Teacher Certified
  • EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND RELATED TO NYS LEARNINGStandards

  • Ability to meet students’ social-emotional and academic needs ingrades K-5

  • Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Desire to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of child development and skills to coordinate instruction with the primary and grade level teachers
  • Awareness of and willingness to collaborate with grade level teams to assist in planning and providing instruction, interventions and research based-support of students
  • Experience with systematic phonics programs preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching remedial lessons to students

  • Maintaining classroom routines
