JOB OVERVIEW
The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher in our Primary Section to inspire young learners and foster a love of music. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching music to children from diverse backgrounds and skill levels, creating a fun and supportive environment that encourages creativity, confidence and musical growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification.
- Experience teaching music to primary-aged children.
- Strong skills in class vocal teaching and piano (ability to teach strings or woodwind is an advantage).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Willingness to lead an extracurricular club or activity.

- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that incorporate a variety of musical concepts, instruments, and vocal techniques.
- Foster students’ appreciation of music by exposing them to different genres, styles, and cultural influences.
- Organise and direct musical performances, such as school concerts, assemblies, and special events.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with Class Teachers to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum.
