Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and inspirational Teacher of Physics to join our team from September 2025. The International School of Monza is situated in the heart of the city and is in the ideal vicinity of buzzing Milan, the beautiful Italian lakes and world-renowned ski resorts. We welcome approximately 340 students of nearly 40 nationalities, from ages 2.5 to 18. An International Baccalaureate continuum school, we strive to deliver the IB programmes in their purest form, embodying our core values and the IB’s Learner Profile in everything that we do. Applicants will be highly qualified, fluent in English and be committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all young people. In addition, whilst IB experience is not essential, candidates should be committed to developing experiential learning through inquiry and be able to teach at both MYP (Middle Year Programme) and DP (Diploma Programme) levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching Physics to IB Diploma Programme Higher Level.
- Teaching General Science and a discrete Science within the Middle Years Programme.
- Teaching MYP Maths as needed.
- Sourcing and updating resources to support teaching and working collaboratively to improve them.
- Differentiating lessons to meet individual pupil needs, including additional challenges and support.
- Preparing engaging, effective lessons and assessments aligned with departmental schemes of work.
- Contributing to curriculum updates, teaching methods, and assessments.
- Delivering diverse teaching methodologies for online and in-person learning.
- Engaging in school-based and independent professional learning.
- Ensuring high pupil achievement through high expectations, teamwork, and effective teaching.
- Collaborating within and across the Science department for quality assurance.
- Monitoring pupil progress and reporting as per school policies.
- Voluntarily contributing to interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Promoting the Science Department’s work locally and internationally.
- Maintaining and updating classroom and school displays of pupil work.
- Managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Participating fully in school life, including clubs and study sessions.
- Supporting field trips, competitions, and Science-related experiential learning.
- Contributing to school events and extra-curricular activities.
- Representing the department and school positively to all stakeholders.
- Performing duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Secondary.
