REQUIREMENTS:

• Have recent experience supporting Key Stage 1 children
• Have recent experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Be genuinely committed to enhancing the educational and personal development of the child you are supporting
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain a new one
• References covering the last 2 years

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Career Teachers are seeking experienced teaching assistants to work on supply and support our primary schools in Derby City on a day-to-day basis. You will have the flexibility to choose the days you’d like to work and the schools you’d like to work within.
With day-to-day supply, you will be able to work within a range of different primary schools located within Derby City. You will either support 1:1 or general cover, depending on the requirements of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the class teacher to ensure support is successful
• Providing one-on-one support to children with complex needs
• Assisting in the implementation of Individual Care Plans
• Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to meet the needs of all students
