Applicants must have a passion for meeting the holistic needs of learners with SEND and support the inclusion agenda. As such, we welcome practitioners who will support learners to be ‘Calm enough to engage and alert enough to learn’. You will be expected to play an active role in strategic and operational planning and to lead a working party group.
We have a professional learning culture in which we utilise the latest research, experience of our existing excellent staff, internal and external CPDL to ensure we are constantly reflecting on our practice and enhancing our provision. We support our staff to seek to develop themselves on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must possess GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade A* - C, or GCSE level 4-9, or a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or CSE Grade 1 in English and Mathematics.
Applicants must also possess a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and Learning and be trained in relevant strategies and/or a particular learning area.
Part of the interview process will involve an observation at our setting on an alternative day prior to the interview date.

If currently unemployed, one referee must be your last employer/school.
Springside is a new-build special school co-located with a mainstream primary school. Visits to the school are welcomed.
