EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Current certification and or registration in the respective profession
- Current CPR and First Aid
- At least six months of experience in the profession
- High level of proficiency with Office 365 environment, including Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in at least one learning management system, preferably D2L.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team as Teaching Assistant for our Medical Laboratory Technician/Assistant program at our Kitchener Campus location.
JOB PURPOSE
Under the direct supervision of the classroom Instructor and in compliance with Anderson College company policies, procedures and regulatory and legal requirements, set up lab procedures and activities and supervise students during clinical/laboratory procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Follow detailed protocols, procedures and instruction in the setting up of labs/clinics, following daily lesson plans provided
- Provide knowledge and guidance as specified by the instructor
- Assist the Instructor in all practical evaluations
- Store supplies and equipment as applicable
- Practice safety, and high standards of environmental and or infection control methods
- Under the direct supervision of the classroom Instructor, the Teaching Assistant may supervise students in clinical and laboratory procedures.
- Assist students in lab and clinic providing guidance in learning, using the procedures and guidelines, which are specified by the approved curriculum
