Job Title: Part Time Teaching Assistant with Midday Assistant Duties
Salary: Teaching assistant (16hrs) Scale 3-point 5 £9,446 (pro rata actual salary), Midday Assistant Scale 1 point 2 (3 hrs) £1,641 (pro rata actual salary)
Hours: Total 19.5 hours per week over 3 days, Teaching Assistant is 16.5 hours and Midday Assistant is 3 hours
Working Pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (term time only)
Contract type: Permanent

Woodley Primary School is seeking to appoint a cheerful, enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant, with a desire to ensure that all children receive high quality education and care. You should have a positive mindset, the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff, be flexible and be able to work on your own initiative. The role will initially be based in Key Stage 1 with children aged 6-8. If you would like to work in a supportive environment, with a well motivated, hard working staff team and work with delightful, happy children, then we would welcome your application.
You will:
Enjoy working with primary age children and their families
Deliver in-class support and interventions for children with a wide range of needs
Want to work towards NNEB/BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in your own time
Be reflective, caring and be emotionally resilient
Have the ability to motivate children through good practice
Have effective, clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
Have at least a grade C (or equivalent) in English & maths GCSE (or equivalent)
Ideally have experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage
