Description:
The Division of Cell Matrix Biology and Regenerative Medicine invites applications for a Teaching Associate. This is a fixed-term position available for two years. The successful candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a Biomedical Sciences related subject area and will have some experience of high-quality teaching or demonstrating in a related field.
The post-holder will deliver small group teaching such as tutorials; support practical teaching such as year 1 and 2 practical’s and 3rd year project supervision; design and deliver lectures to support practical classes where required; contribute to lectures for master classes; mark assessments of various types and provide constructive feedback to students.
Practical classes will be delivered with the support and guidance of an established member of staff and the unit-co-ordinator. These sessions will also be supported by postgraduate demonstrators. It is envisaged that the post holder will provide support for marking student work as and when required.
