Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences (SPEHS) is looking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Applied Sport Science and Strength & Conditioning. This is, by design, a wide-ranging, inter-disciplinary teaching role. We are looking for an individual who: has the capacity and motivation to teach across subject specialisms, is professionally accredited or is in the process of becoming so, and is educated to MSc, or preferably, doctoral level. The appointed person will be expected to make a significant contribution to the academic and practical work on the BSc Applied Sport Science and MSc Strength & Conditioning programmes. This is an open-ended teaching-track appointment, offering 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE). In addition, time for scholarship (10% of total workload) will be set aside for this purpose.
We take pride in offering our students a fantastic learning experience through our academic provision and active teaching and scholarship culture. We focus on creating opportunities for students to connect theory and practice which brings their education to life and prepares them for their next career move.
