Responsibilities:
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Teaching Fellows for LAWS297 - Introduction to Legal Skills. The Teaching Fellows LAWS297 will join Te Kauhanganui Tātai Ture - Faculty of Law on a fixed-term, part-time basis, starting in February 2025 for eight to ten months.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation for teaching in LAWS297.
- Attendance at any LAWS297 planning and moderation meetings, library training sessions and CAD Introduction to tutoring/marking and feedback training as required.
- Preparation and delivery of weekly seminars.
- Marking two legal writing exercises, an advocacy report, and written and oral moot submissions in accordance with Faculty guidelines and within the timeframes specified by the Course Coordinator.
- Assisting with the scheduling of seminars and moots.
- Student consultation, as necessary.
- Participation in the demonstration moot, as required.
- Providing feedback to students as to their progress in the course (and marking any resubmitted exercises).
