Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), University of Strathclyde, is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow/Lecturer in Water Engineering to undertake teaching and assessment in hydraulics, hydrology and water engineering modules in the BEng Civil Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Bahrain Campus, as well as engage in internationally leading research in water engineering.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a related discipline, have a track record of published research in high quality publications, and demonstrate both the expertise and passion for educating the next generation of engineers. Their academic background will reflect a deep understanding of Water Engineering and they will be able to demonstrate an active research agenda in Water Engineering. The nature of Water Engineering challenges often requires interdisciplinary solutions. The candidate should have an enthusiasm to collaborate with experts in related fields, including but not limited to, green infrastructure, climate resilient design, AI and machine learning, climate forecasting and hazard assessment.
