Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed colleague to produce exceptional teaching and marking at a postgraduate level in the field of Surgical Sciences.
The job purpose is to provide academic/pedagogical guidance for external contributors (clinical tutors and markers), while contributing to support course organisation and course material development and maintenance for online study, contributing to the successful running of the Surgical Sciences PgCert, PgDip and MSc programmes.
The start date is as soon as possible and is a fixed term role for 3 years, full-time (1 FTE).

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • A master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with significant teaching experience in a clinical, biomedical or health-related field
  • Experience and achievement in teaching within higher education that is reflected in a growing personal teaching portfolio
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in a range of contexts
  • Ability to plan and initiate activities and projects and develop self and others
  • Enthusiasm for teaching
