We are currently seeking to recruit Teaching Fellows in Music to contribute to our exciting new music programmes at our beautiful Newton Park campus in Bath. (Part time roles, with options of 0.4, 0.2 and potentially 0.6 are available)
You will also contribute to teaching and assessment from your own professional or academic experience in one or more of the following curriculum areas:
- Music Education/Pedagogy
- Live/Studio/Production Technology
- Music Therapy and/or Wellbeing Community Music
- Music Psycholog
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Teaching Fellow in Music you will contribute a range of academic duties across our music programmes, working collaboratively as part of our dedicated and committed Music team. You will be involved in designing, planning and delivering teaching across a range of modules at levels 4 to 7 in the form of lectures, practical sessions, seminars, discussion groups and tutorials.
Teaching Fellows are fully involved in assessment activities such as assignment design, grading and moderation, as well as contributing to broader course roles such as open days, applicant auditions, and the general support to students.
Our music courses offer a broad practical musical curriculum across a wide range of genres and styles. Successful applicants will contribute to several specialist subjects within music. This includes a performance expertise in one of the following performance areas:
- Vocal Studies
- Guitar (inc. acoustic, electric and bass)
- Drum kit and percussion
- Woodwind and Brass
You will also contribute to teaching and assessment from your own professional or academic experience in one or more of the following curriculum areas:
- Music Education/Pedagogy
- Live/Studio/Production Technology
- Music Therapy and/or Wellbeing Community Music
- Music Psychology
