Description:

Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Administrator School of Medical Sciences Clinical Delivery Team
We are recruiting a Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Administrator (assignment Clinical Delivery) within the School of Medical Sciences in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.
The Clinical Delivery team is a small focussed team within the wider School Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Team. Whilst the successful candidate will work predominantly in this area, all TLSE colleagues are expected to work collaboratively across the wider School team in order to deliver the core activities of the School’s taught programmes.
The key activities of the Clinical Delivery Team include (but are not limited to): ensuring that all students undertaking clinical programmes in the School have had the necessary checks prior to going on clinical placement, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and Occupational Health clearance; processing travel approvals for students undertaking clinical placements overseas; allocating students to hospital placements and monitoring students’ successful completion of these; providing travel bursaries to students relating to their placement travel.
The ideal candidate will have proven administrative experience in a busy environment, excellent communication skills and be able to work positively, respectfully and professionally with a range of students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
This role will require the candidate to process large volumes of data accurately and within strict deadlines, so attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead are essential attributes. Strong MS Excel skills, and experience in using reporting software, are desirable. The candidate will be expected to be able to multi-task efficiently between different areas on a continual basis and to be adaptable when team priorities may change at short notice. A proactive approach, and the ability to work independently whilst also taking responsibility for ensuring that team colleagues are kept fully informed via open and transparent ways of shared working, is expected and required.
Please note, under the new immigration rules this role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the Points Based System. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK in order to be eligible to take up the post.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
