The department
Our Legal Practice Groups are made up of leading advisers for creative, innovative and brand-focused businesses, offering a deep understanding of the industry sectors in which clients operate combined with real expertise across a wide range of legal services. From start-ups to multinationals, the firm’s comprehensive and commercially focused advice helps clients succeed in an increasingly complex and converged international marketplace.
Responsibilities
The overall objective of this role is to provide administrative support to the Legal Practice Groups, which includes Partners, Associates, Paralegals and the PA team, you may also assist the Business Development and Marketing teams from time to time - with a view to ensuring that individual tasks be completed in a timely manner.

SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in an office environment is required.
  • Knowledge of Elite would be an advantage, although not essential as full training will be provided.

ABILITIES AND DESIRED QUALITIES

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Mathematically proficient.

IT SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience or knowledge of using Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, ChromeRiver, Elite, Document Management System (Netdocs), Intapp, although full in-house training will be provided.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Good grammatical English - at least to GCSE standard or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

The successful candidate would need to be an accomplished team player with excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a team environment. They must be highly organised with a flexible nature and be able to prioritise allocated tasks, with a co-operative and willing attitude, as day to day you will be dealing with a variety of tasks and working from a busy inbox. This role will suit somebody who can bring good all-round experience in office administration.

Working directly with and supporting the PA teams - usual tasks can include:

  • Assisting with travel requirements (i.e. booking taxis/trains/liaising with our external travel company).
  • Assisting with maintaining the Engage database.
  • Assisting with searches for files, deeds, Wills etc.
  • Assisting with regular archiving.
  • Liaising with Reprographics on print requests.
  • Ad hoc project work, creating spreadsheets etc.
  • Assisting Post room with booking couriers e.g. collating documents to post.
  • Assisting the marketing team to complete marketing packs and badges, assisting with seminars.
  • Other general support to the team from time to time
