About the Role
The Changing Locations team is part of our Talent Acquisition and Mobility division. Our mission is to equip ANZ with the right talent to build a capable, thriving workforce, now and for the future. We do this by connecting the right people to the right opportunities at the right time – with our Changing Locations team being an integral part to this mission.
Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term, Full time
Role Location: Melbourne
What will your day look like?
As the Team Lead – Changing Locations (Global Mobility), this role is crucial in facilitating the smooth operation of our international mobility program, both locally and internationally. You will be responsible for guiding your team on ‘what’ work to do as well as ‘how’ to go about that work.
The team you’ll be leading manages all international relocations at the bank, providing consulting and bespoke advice to the business and stakeholders regarding international assignments, relocation solutions and global workforce issues; maintaining governance with the stakeholders and legal standards across immigration, payroll, taxation and employment law while continuing to meet business goals; and monitoring local immigration and visa compliance.
What will you bring?
We know not everyone will bring all of the skills and experience, and at ANZ we are focused on people bringing a growth mindset to their approach to work. Some of the skills we are looking for are below, but don’t worry if you don’t have all of these as learning on the job is the way we work. But back to some of the skills –
Extensive proven experience in Global Mobility– either in house mobility management or consulting in international mobility, immigration or expatriate tax would be preferred - with deep subject matter expertise of different practices and country-specific immigration requirements (includes remuneration and tax implications across 32+ geographies).
In depth understanding of vendor management and accountabilities
Experience and understanding of third-party systems (ie, HRIS experience) and the correlation with International Assignees
Strong understanding of emerging trends and practices (e.g. international remote work, business travel visa requirements etc.) with relevant market practice and insights
Strong people leadership background, with the ability to manage large teams remotely as we are a geographically dispersed team between Australia and Philippines
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to motivate, inspire, mentor, coach and develop others to continuously grow while driving a strong sense of performance accountability
Excellent process improvement skills; experience in transforming and improving related processes and delivery model
Proven record of senior stakeholder management and ability to influence
So why join us?
From the moment you join ANZ, you’ll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.
But it’s not just our customers who’ll feel your impact. you’ll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you’ll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.
We’re a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That’s why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can ‘make work, work for them’. We also provide a range of benefits including access to health and wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.
At ANZ, you’ll be part of an organisation where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. That’s because we’re committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. If you are a candidate with a disability or access requirement, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
