Responsibilities:
In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Central Services and lead a team of skilled mechanical designers, whose mission is to create designs of tools, fixtures, development mockup articles, and other critical enabling pieces of hardware for the production organization.

Your Day to Day:
- Supervise design work which includes 3D modelling, 3D-model assemblies, 2D engineering drawings - assembly and part detail documentation.
- Review the concepts of the designs for requesters and review purposes.
- Adjudicating design reviews and quality-checking all work created by the team.
- Own and continuously improve the production organization PLM environment to ensure safe control of tooling design data and compliance to business policies
- Manage and attest staff competency, ensure scheduling of work is dynamically allocated to business needs.
- Run meetings related to work, project related sessions with requesters, clarification of projects, discussions, requirements definition. Design reviews and concepts presentations.
- Create, maintain, and improve technical standards for production design, including drawing masters, PLM templates, standard material libraries, etc
- Independently seek and use surge capacity or design/build outsourcing in response to business conditions
