Job Description

Requirements:
Third level qualification in Management (Diploma or higher)
Front line leadership.
A solid understanding of regulations such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and other industry standards is essential.
Knowledge of handling sensitive products like temperature-controlled items, hazardous materials, or controlled substances.
Expertise in warehouse logistics, including receiving, storing, sampling, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Knowledge:
Previous experience managing or preparing for regulatory audits (FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.) is advantageous.
Having training or certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
Advanced IT skills, In addition to proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), advanced knowledge of:
Automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
Robotics (AGV’s) in warehouses.
Knowledge of Know consignor programme policies.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Team Management: Strong leadership to manage, motivate, and develop a team. This includes conflict resolution, delegation, and promoting teamwork.
Training: Ability to train and upskill team members in warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
Communication: Clear communication is vital for conveying expectations, operational changes, and performance feedback.
Problem Solving: A proactive approach to resolving issues that arise in inventory, logistics, or team performance.
Health and Safety: Ensuring the warehouse meets health and safety standards, including handling hazardous materials and maintaining cleanliness.
Equipment Knowledge: Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, automated picking systems, and RFID/scanning technologies.
Attention to Detail: The ability to ensure accuracy in product labeling, storage, and documentation. Competence in managing and maintaining clear records for audits and regulatory inspections.
Proficient in using WMS and ERP systems (Preferably SAP but not essential) for tracking inventory, shipments, and orders.
Ability to analyse warehouse data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Adherence to SOPs: Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed rigorously to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies.
Quality Assurance: Oversee that all products are stored, handled, and shipped in accordance with quality standards to prevent contamination or degradation.
Process Optimisation: Ability to identify and implement improvements to make warehouse operations more efficient, whether through workflow improvements or new technologies.
Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks, whether related to compliance, product damage, or logistics.
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to handle unexpected events, such as product recalls or system breakdowns, and ensure that operations continue smoothly.
