About the Team Lead – IBM :
MarketStar’s IBM team is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Manager to lead our APAC channel team . The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple regions. This role requires a deep understanding of global market dynamics, channel strategies, and the ability to drive performance and growth through effective coaching and development , while keeping leadership and client teams informed of performance and insights.
Location : Salt Lake City, UT - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global channel team. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive channel growth and achieve business objectives . Align channel strategies with overall company goals.
- Performance Management: Set performance targets, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure the team meets or exceeds sales and revenue targets.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in different regions. Adapt strategies to local market conditions.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, stakeholders, and customers. Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements.
- Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and with other departments. Provide regular updates to senior management on team performance and market trends.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or with channel partners. Implement solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
What will you need to succeed?
- Experience in a leadership role (Global leadership an advantage)
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems; experience with IBM’s internal Salesforce system is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse, global team. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of global market dynamics and channel strategies. Experience in market analysis and competitive intelligence.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different cultural and business environments. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
- Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving results and driving performance. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, data analysis tools, and other relevant technologies
- Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and a strong understanding of Gen AI, Hybrid Cloud, and Cybersecurity services.

The pay for this position is $55,000.00 and may be paid annually. This pay structure may include a variable bonus component . There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
