Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager, who will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to secure goods and services required for the company’s operations. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operational procurement professionals.
- o Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring workload balance within the team.
- o Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members.
- o Monitor performance, conduct appraisals, and manage team dynamics.
Operational Procurement:
- Oversee the procurement of goods and services in line with company policies.
- Ensure timely placement of purchase orders to meet operational demands.
- Review and approve purchase orders and supplier agreements as per authorization limits.
- Maintain procurement documentation and records in compliance with audit standards.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions.
Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers for operational purchases.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any disputes or issues that arise.
- Work with the strategic sourcing team to align operational purchasing with long-term procurement strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze procurement processes and recommend improvements to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process and supplier optimization.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, by developing contingency plans.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to contracts.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and present regular procurement reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), Delivery precision and other relevant supplier performance targets.
- Use data analysis to track procurement performance and identify trends or issues.
