Description:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in mathematical programming and solid experience with operations research concepts (familiarity with tools such as Cplex, Gurobi, or AIMS is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience working in a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced industry, showcasing your ability to deliver in high-growth, dynamic environments.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering high-impact projects.
- Hands-on experience in Python and SQL; proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, autonomous problem-solver with excellent strategic thinking and project management skills, capable of leading multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As a Team Lead - Operations Research of the Algorithmic Solutions Cluster, you will lead a high-performing team of Operations Researchers and orchestrate the optimization of our supply chain operations, from procurement planning over production management to logistics. You will drive both upstream and downstream supply chain algorithmic services while being the key orchestrator of our internal OR infrastructure, ensuring the smooth running and continuous enhancement of all our optimization models. Your leadership and expertise will be pivotal in evolving our operational strategies, while empowering your team to solve complex supply chain challenges that directly impact our business performance.
You will foster a culture of innovation, data-drivenness, and optimization, ensuring that HelloFresh stays at the forefront of supply chain excellence. In this leadership role, you’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and data, to align on key operational strategies and drive impactful solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of Operations Researchers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to foster growth and expertise within the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to define project requirements and coordinate with engineering and data science teams to deliver impactful solutions that improve supply chain performance.
- Identify, address, and proactively solve complex supply chain problems using data-driven approaches, driving operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Maintain and scale our internal OR infrastructure, ensuring all tools and models are reliable, scalable, and adaptable to different markets and operational contexts.
- Champion a data-driven culture across the team and organization, advocating for the use of mathematical optimization and ensuring key decision-makers understand the value it brings to the business.
- Own and enhance our optimization models to solve a wide range of supply chain challenges, ensuring they evolve with the business needs and are implemented effectively across different regions and problem areas
