Description:
We are seeking a results-oriented leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills to help lead the payroll function for our Staffing division. The Staffing payroll team ensures payroll is accurately prepared and administered to all field employees, admin employees, and third-party contractors. The Staffing payroll team is also responsible for maintaining employee records and responding to employee/branch queries via incoming calls and emails, in a professional and timely manner assuming full responsibility and resolution.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Minimum of 3 years of experience:
- Experience with processing multi province payroll
- Experience with UKG
- Strong MS Office tools, Intermediate/Advanced Excel, analytics and reporting tools

EDUCATION
- Minimum college degree, ideally University degree
- Completion of a PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full cycle processing of the assigned Staffing payroll in a timely and accurate manner through UKG
- Review payroll reports for accuracy and adjust as necessary. Coordinate the resolution of employee related payroll inquiries and payroll issues that may arise.
- Reconcile and balance payroll files. Solid understanding, interpretation and application of all provincial Employment Standards and Collective Agreements
- Assist in the calculation of overtime, and stat holiday pay per legislative rules and/or company polices
- Assist in the application of pay policies for field staff working under a collective agreement. Track and calculate sick, bereavement, MSP and any other areas covered per the agreement. Advises Branches on payroll related legislative requirements.
- Liaise and communicate information with the Branch Offices as required.
- Preparation and distribution of employee tax forms
- Assist in preparation of payroll related remittances as required
- Coaching and development of team members
