Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY / TE WHIWHINGA MAHI
We are currently seeking to fill the role of Team Leader Production and Catering. This role will provide operational leadership in all aspects of food production and service for NMIT’s commercial hospitality operations, activities, venues, and staff across designated food production and service areas. This includes our Akè Akè student café (Nelson), Gingko Café (Marlborough), internal and external catering, and events.
This role will:
- Lead the team to provide excellent customer service, gather and respond to customer feedback, and implement change as required.
- Plan work activities by organising and allocating workflow, managing leave, scheduling and rostering of staff as required.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and review to meet financial and operational targets.
- Embed sound practices for the cafes’ financial transactions and establish accountability for tasks.
- Manage compliance with legislation, industry standards and internal operating policies and procedures.
