Your area of responsibility as Team lead:

  • Responsibility for procurement in assigned projects and ensuring project requirements are met
  • Carrying out supplier evaluations, purchasing cost controls and contract conclusions
  • Analyzing cost saving opportunities and supply chain risks
  • Improving the project contract margin through procurement measures such as global tenders and supplier selection procedures
  • Responsibility for the application of the applicable quality guidelines for the material along the product development process
  • Participation in the site budget, KPI tracking and monthly reporting
  • Managing procurement issues, quality issues and leading the cross-functional supplier audit at the site
  • Ensuring the use of standard instruments, methods and procurement management tools, such as procurement committee, supplier selection sheet, e-RFQ, standard BOM tracking
  • Making procurement decisions to improve the contract margin: R&O follow-up, procurement in projects

  • Supervision of tenders, support of the PL Sourcing Leader
  • Management of supplier relationships and services
  • Design and management of product group strategies
  • Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain Management
  • Analyzing and reporting key purchasing figures
  • Contributing to the improvement of processes and purchasing services in the Group’s Purchasing division

Team Management

  • Define and allocated the required sourcing resources to projects
  • Team coordination (e.g. holiday and substitution plans) of strategic purchasing
  • Lead annual performance review of project buyers, hire and train team according to Transit guidelines

Profile:

  • You have a degree in technical or business administration, ideally with a focus on supply chain, purchasing management or comparable training with appropriate further training
  • You have several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or project purchasing
  • You have a strong technical understanding, and an analytical approach is part of your daily business
  • A confident handling of MS Office applications is a matter of course for you
  • You have very good written and spoken English skills - German is a plus
  • You are able to organize yourself and have a high level of assertiveness
  • Experience in an international environment & matrix organization is an advantage
  • Team Lead experience is an advantage
