Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position provides mentorship, daily oversight and expertise to Safety Code Officers (SCO), ensuring the consistent interpretation and application of the Safety Codes Act, Codes and Quality Management Plan, and report back to the Permits & Inspections Supervisor.
The position acts as a liaison with industry and enforces the Alberta Building Code, standards and regulations for the protection and safety of the public by performing compliance monitoring functions (including plan checking, inspections, and follow-up), providing education and advice to the public, contractors, trades people, and professionals, and developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
