WHO YOU ARE:

Are you a passionate and experienced software development leader with a knack for building scalable compliance solutions? Geotab is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to guide and mentor a team of talented developers in designing, building, and maintaining high-throughput, performance-critical applications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Join the Fleet Compliance group to lead and mentor a talented team of software developers dedicated to enhancing driver safety within the trucking industry. You’ll guide the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions using C#, ASP.NET, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, TypeScript, React, and Redux, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Your expertise in building scalable and high-performance systems will be crucial as you oversee the creation of mission-critical compliance applications used by over 450k drivers daily. You’ll champion code quality through robust testing practices and ensure your team thrives in a fast-paced environment with rapid releases. This role blends the challenge of leading a team with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the transportation industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

• 8+ years of Software Development experience.
• 2+ years in a formal People Leadership role, including performance management and hiring.
• Expertise in C#, cloud-based data platforms, and front-end TypeScript development.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies (React, JavaScript) and UI/UX design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Git.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
