Team Lead with full-stack Java expertise (gn) Remote in Europe

We are looking for you as a Team Lead with full-stack Java expertise (gn) at the earliest possible date for our headquartes in Fulda, Germany or fully remote in Europe with at least 6h overlap with CET 09:00-17:00 working hours (+/- 2h from CET/CEST).
The ideal candidate has a solid background as a full stack Java developer, has a team-first attitude with at least some experience as a Team Lead. We will provide you with the support needed to develop and grow your team leadership skills, and we expect you to master the technical parts with autonomy in return.

Your Role

• You will lead a small team focused on maintaining and evolving a brown field (i.e.: established codebase), tailor-built solution for some of the most important Proemion Customers
• You will be in direct contact with the Customers and will actively engage with them in planning, executing and monitoring
• You will promote and support the continued use of modern software development practices such as CI/CD, testing (i.e.: Testing Cone), code quality, etc. according to Proemion R&D Manuals
• You pro-actively look for ways to maintain an appropriate speed of execution without incurring irreversible technical debt in the long term
• You will ensure operational excellence by achieving or exceeding the pre-determined SLAs

Your Skills

• You are a pragmatic Team Lead who can take your team, technology and product to the next level
• You show agency and have the skills to back it up: you take on hard problems without waiting for conditions to be perfect and/or blaming others
• The solution is built on Java using some of its most popular frameworks/libraries such as Spring and Hibernate. Fluency with these is required.
• A part of the solution relies on JavaFX for a desktop application. All else being equal, familiarity with JavaFX will be preferred
• The solution is deployed using Linux, Docker, AWS using Postgres/Elasticsearch as the datastores, and Windows for the Desktop UI:
• Experience with Linux as the deployment platform is required
• Experience with Postgres is required
• Experience with Elasticsearch will be considered favorably
• Leadership skills: conduct 1:1, performance appraisals, foster generative team culture
• Fluent communication skills in English
• German beneficial
