Description:
Ryan Lamontagne Inc. is well established fee-for-service financial planning and wealth management firm based in Ottawa, Ontario. We provide a comprehensive range of financial services including financial planning, tax, estate planning and other related services. Portfolio management services are provided by our sister firm, Sona Wealth Counsel Inc., a licensed discretionary Portfolio Management firm.
TEAM LEADER AND SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual who will be a key member of the firm by managing all aspects of the daily office operations, and who will also provide administrative support to our team of Financial Advisors and Portfolio Managers. You must possess excellent communication skills, strong client service strategies and efficient time management abilities resulting in outstanding service to our clients.
You will be responsible for all aspects of office operations, and your list of duties will include the following:
Duties:
· Prepare, process, and follow up on new account documents, transfers, and client requests.
· Enter transactions on client accounts as requested.
· Manage the preparation and electronic filing of personal tax files.
· Resolve client issues promptly or escalate to the Advisor when appropriate.
· Act as the primary liaison for our Trustee/Custodian.
· Process invoices for payments
· Ensure that all revenue is recorded and that the accounting system is kept up-to-date
· Prepare the monthly working capital report
· Prepare quarterly GST/HST returns
· Process bi-weekly payroll
· Supervise other support staff
· Manage communication with clients by email and telephone.
· Manage the day-to-day office operations
Requirements:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
· Ability to project a friendly and professional demeanor, while working in a confidential environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
· 3 or more years’ experience in the Financial Services industry.
· A solid understanding of retirement accounts and regulations.
· Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Finance or Business Administration.
· Experience working with accounting or tax preparation software.
· A strong desire to learn and advance.
This is a full-time position. Compensation includes salary, bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
