ABOUT THE SERVICE
Victoria House is a beautiful service situated on the bank of the Humber and provides accommodation, support, and care for people with brain injury and complex needs. We are looking for people to help the Manager drive a program of improvement.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
- Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, being able to prioritise , plan and organise the work load
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
As a Team Leader your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people we support. You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.
MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Brainkind has employed new management to support Victoria House
- Have experience of supporting a service through a phase of growth and improvement
- Skilled at supporting staff through tools such as supervisions and observations to give excellent quality care.
- Skilled at supporting staff to make full, meaningful, and appropriate records.
- Skilled at incident reporting.
- Key opportunity to join the local leadership team in driving quality improvements and cultural change.
- Boundaried, dignified and able to keep own counsel.
- Have genuine empathy for our residents, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through the challenging times of their rehabilitation.

- Support and supervise a team of Support Workers to deliver best practice and exceed quality standards of care and support
