Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.
As a leader, you hold your direct reports to account, set clear and consistent expectations of what ‘good’ looks like and don’t hesitate to address issues when they occur. You work in a way that encourages your team, and others, to consistently lift their standards and will be a key player in ensuring that we are a function that is seen as applicant-centric, data driven, transparent, and well-informed.
As this is a leadership role, you’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people at all levels in the organisation and from within a truly diverse applicant pool. Police strive to be a diverse organisation so an understanding of, and experience with, recruitment/applicant management initiatives that focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is a must.
You’ll have experience in leading and managing multiple pieces of complex work at once and working in a fast paced, complex, service delivery focused environment that values information and a positive recruitment reputation.
Ideally, you’ll have previous direct experience working in an operational recruitment role, however your personal focus on exceptional customer interactions and service delivery will have seen your career naturally evolve to a clearer compliance and/or purer candidate management leadership role.
