Description:

We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Machine Operations Team Leader to run one of our Marlborough machine teams.

You will be responsible for direct management and leadership of all major machinery operations across our Marlborough vineyards.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the day to day activities of the Machine Operations Team, in a safe and efficient manner. Tasks include canopy spraying, herbicide spraying, leaf plucking, trimming, and mowing, mulching, mechanical pruning, post driving and machine harvest.

  • Carrying out day to day machinery tasks safely and efficiently
  • Set up, operate, and maintain vineyard machinery and equipment
  • Actively participate in improving operational effectiveness
  • Brining your own unique personality and values to the team

  • High level of skill operating equipment and machinery
  • Vineyard experience
  • Ability to work additional hours from time to time, particularly during the Vintage period.
  • High standards of work, flexibility, and ability to build strong relationships
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Sense of humour
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with IT/Computer skills
