We are now looking for a Team Leader, Market Analysis to join our Hedging & Market Analysis team in UPM Energy.

What you will do

  • You will lead daily operations and development of the Market Analysis team, consisting of approximately 10 energy market professionals, ranging from Data Scientists to Energy Market Analysts
  • You will actively contribute to UPM Energy’s hedging strategy and contribute to energy-related decision making of other UPM businesses, together with the team
  • You will lead, grow and develop the talent in the Market Analysis team
  • You will energetically present and communicate energy market insights and price views to a diverse group of internal stakeholders, including senior management
  • You will follow and analyse the energy commodity market complex
  • You will work in close collaboration with physical and financial trading teams

Who you are

  • You have a university degree, for example in engineering, math, physics, economics or similar
  • You have an extensive understanding of the Nordic/Continental physical and financial electricity markets with a minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience in the electricity markets
  • You have experience of managerial roles, for example from a team lead position or project manager roles
  • You have great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You collaborate well with others and have good communication and presentation skills
  • You demonstrate high independency, self-leadership, and willingness to learn and develop
  • You are fluent in English, ability to communicate in Nordic languages is seen as an asset
