Description:

Are you passionate about nature and love working outdoors? Mackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Leader Parks Maintenance to join our team. This role is Twelve (12) month Temporary Fulltime Parental Leave Coverage contract until September 2025.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Horticulture or related field:
  • General Construction Induction Training.
  • QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent
  • Medium Rigid (MR) Licence.
  • Essential Experience
  • Practical experience in the planning, scheduling, and delivery of minor projects.
  • Proven experience in supervising a team.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and allocating resources to complete scheduled maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and participate in the upkeep of our picturesque parks and recreational areas.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, preserving the natural beauty of our community spaces.
  • Lead and inspire a team of passionate maintenance workers.
  • Provide expert advice and innovative solutions for parks maintenance and improvement.
